SUV slams into Clovis home, barely missing sleeping resident

CLOVIS, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – A mid-sized SUV careened into a home early Sunday morning and came to rest just inches from a bed where someone was sleeping, Clovis police say.

Around 3:15 a.m. their department received a call from a resident in the 3200 block of Sierra Madre Avenue, near Blackwood Avenue, reporting a vehicle that had crashed into a house.

Initially, police say, they believed there were injuries as a result of the collision.  But as it turns out, officers say no one was seriously injured.
