As expected, temperatures reached into the 50s in Syracuse and parts of Central New York Tuesday. It will remain quite mild for December standards through Tuesday night and Wednesday before strong gusty winds cause our temperatures to tumble to wintry level once again.

Looking at recent rains and snow melt, it appears that while most of our area lakes, rivers, streams and creeks will see a notable rise in levels, most rivers should either be near or slightly below minor flood stage…
