Baltimore, MD – The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Garrett County, Maryland, as well as Western Grant and Western Pendleton Counties in West Virginia. The advisory will remain in effect from noon Wednesday to 6 a.m. Thursday.
According to the National Weather Service, snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches are expected, with wind gusts reaching up to 45 mph. Rain will transition to snow late Wednesday morning, creating hazardous conditions. Visibility may be reduced to a quarter mile or less at times, and slippery road conditions are anticipated during the evening commute.
Residents are urged to prepare for gusty winds, which could bring down tree branches and create additional travel hazards.…
