JACKSON, MI – Making her ward a safer, more involved place will be a top priority for Christy May Davis as a city councilmember.

The Tuesday, Dec. 10 meeting of the Jackson City Council marked Davis’ first as the group’s newest member.

Davis told MLive she is excited to be able to make a difference for residents of the 5th Ward. She said she had a three-hour talk with Mayor Daniel Mahoney the Saturday before her first official meeting as a councilmember, and they discussed ideas for projects and new programs she would like to spearhead in her new role…
