Just before 9 a.m. this morning, Redwood Drive was closed between Evergreen Road and Bear Canyon Road. The closure remains in place as Humboldt County Public Works crews remove debris from the roadway.
This area, known by locals as the bluffs, is prone to slide. A county representative stated that crews are clearing a rockslide that occurred earlier in the day. The representative said that the roadway is anticipated to reopen around 1:30 p.m. today.
