A reported robbery in the Jeff-Vander-Lou neighborhood has caught the attention of local law enforcement. District 4 officers are looking into an incident that occurred on the late afternoon of Sunday, in the 3600 block of Cass, where a 19-year-old man claims to have been assaulted by several masked individuals.
The young man, stepping out into the waning daylight, found himself besieged by an unknown number of assailants. One suspect allegedly brandished a firearm at him, pointed menacingly at the back of his head, and another demanded his keys. While one took charge of the victim’s keys, the others, made a quick search of the victim’s vehicle. All suspects then fled the scene on foot with at least one stolen item – a gun belonging to the 19-year-old, according to details released by the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department.
