Authorities have identified Dr. Christopher Dawson, 36, as the man responsible for a devastating murder-suicide that unfolded in the quiet Dallas-Fort Worth suburb of North Richland Hills, Texas .
The heinous crime took place early Saturday morning, Dec. 9, when Dawson had fatally shot his two children, Luke Dawson, 9, and Aubrey “Bree” Dawson, 5, before turning the gun on himself.
The grim discovery was made by the children’s mother, Rachel Dawson, who called police at approximately 7:15 a.m.

Police reports confirm that Dawson used a shotgun to kill both children before taking his own life.
