Warrington Preparatory adding 9th grade, eventually expanding to full high school

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) – Warrington Preparatory Academy has announced a big addition to their school.

The middle school, which currently serves grades sixth through eighth, is adding ninth grade next school year.

They then plan to add 10 th grade in 2026-27, 11 th grade in 2027-28, and 12 th grade in 2028-29, expanding to a full high school.

“This is not your traditional high school,” Florida State Superintendent for Charter Schools USA Dr. Eddie Ruiz said. “You know most of the high schools nine through 12th are 1,600, 1,,700, 1,500 students. This is going to be a 500 small, boutique type high school.”…
