On December 11, 2024, at 7:33 pm, the Midway Fire District was dispatched to a residential structure fire in the 200 block of Florida Avenue in the City of Gulf Breeze.
The 911 caller reported that their garage was on fire, but fortunately, all occupants had safely evacuated the home before first responders arrived.
Upon firefighters arrival, the attached garage was found to be fully involved. The intensity of the fire had also ignited a pickup truck parked in the driveway. Inside the garage, there was a second vehicle, along with a golf cart. The interior of the home also sustained heavy damage.
Midway Fire District responded with Engine 35, Truck 36, Battalion 35 and Chief Shannon Stone, providing critical assistance to the Gulf Breeze Fire Department. The teams worked effectively to contain and extinguish the fire, preventing further damage and ensuring the safety of nearby structures…
