Tennessee non-profit warns against leaving child alone in car with 11 thefts in November

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — During the last week of November, there were 11 incidents in Tennessee alone involving children left alone in cars that were later stolen. That’s according to the non-profit Kids and Car Safety.

They are warning parents of the danger of leaving a child in the car, even if it’s only for a few minutes.

“We need parents to understand how often this is happening. Every year we document hundreds of children that are taken in cars where they were just left alone for a minute while someone ran inside somewhere.”…
