FEMA delivers more temporary homes to Western North Carolina after apologizing for inaccurate timeline

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – After apologizing for an inaccurate timeline for delivery following a WBTV investigation, FEMA has delivered more temporary homes to Western North Carolina.

Two days before Thanksgiving, FEMA had delivered 27 temporary homes to people in need of housing. On Dec. 4, FEMA said that number jumped to 46 homes, which is less than half of what the agency promised by that time.

By Wednesday, Dec. 11, the number of travel trailers and manufactured homes delivered to Helene sat at 62 homes…
