Warren City Council votes on new community center

WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) — Warren City Council tonight voted unanimously to spend a portion of its American Rescue Plan money on a new community center.

The community center will be built and operated by an organization called FOCUS. The debate leading up to the vote included a heated discussion and eventually some tears.

A vacant lot on Niles Road in Warren adjacent to the organization called FOCUS will soon be the new home for what will be called the FOCUS Community Resource Center — a multipurpose facility with a gym and meeting rooms…
