READING – Salvation Army officials recently paid homage to a Reading couple whose charitable efforts have resulted in thousands of children and teens being outfitted with band new winter jackets over the past seven years.

According to officials from the Salvation Army’s Massachusetts Division, Winslow Road residents Robert and Patricia Kuecker were both bestowed the non-profit organization’s Al MacLeod Outstanding Volunteer Award for arranging for some 3,000 coats to be donated to Boston area youth late this summer.
