Your Weather Planner
Much colder air will funnel into the region overnight into Thursday and Friday. This will allow lake effect snow to fire up again, especially east-northeast of the Great Lakes.
The heaviest snow will be focused east of Lake Ontario Thursday into Friday morning. Snow is likely to accumulate 1-3 feet in the areas that get the most persistent banding, which will be between Watertown and the Tug Hill.
Outside of Lake Ontario snow, Thursday will be frigid and blustery with scattered snow showers and flurries. Wind chills for Thursday and Friday will be in the single digits and teens.
