Family of 10-year-old killed in Chicago police chase crash awarded $79.5M in damages

CHICAGO — A jury awarded the family of a 10-year-old girl killed in a September 2020 crash on the city’s South Side after a car fled police almost $80 million in damages.

Wednesday’s $79.85 million verdict comes following a lengthy court battle.
