LUBBOCK, Texas — Many businesses near 79th Street and Slide Road received letters from the city stating that “during a recent audit, our collections team found the current arrangement for service to your property is in violation of our current policy.” Businesses had 30 days to find a private trash service because their dumpster’s location “imposes an unnecessary risk to your property and that of our team servicing the container.”
The owner of Tailored Tails, Aaryn Mistrot, luckily already ordered her private dumpster, but that is not the case for everyone, leaving them with nowhere to put their trash.
“it was a spur the moment kind of thing we didn’t really have a lot of time,” she said.

She said her biggest question is how the location is changing a service that has “been around for decades.”…
