Longtime Palm Beach resident Nelson Peltz of Wendy’s donates $150K to town fire and police

Two donations from a longtime Palm Beach resident and billionaire are set to boost the town’s fire and police departments.

The Town Council voted unanimously Tuesday to accept a pair of donations from North End resident Nelson Peltz, chief of the Wendy’s fast-food chain, in the amount of $100,000 to the Police Department and $50,000 to the Fire-Rescue Department.

While council members did not discuss the donation, Council Member Julie Araskog noted the town is thankful for Peltz’s contribution. “I just want to say ‘thank you’ to him,” she said…
