CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WFXR) — The Virginia High School League Wednesday named local sportswriter Robert Anderson as one of eight members of the class of 2025 of the Virginia High School Hall of Fame. Anderson is going in the hall as a contributor in the media category. Anderson worked for the Bristol Herald Courier from 1978-2001 then the Roanoke Times from 2001 to 2022. He currently is writing for Cardinal News. Anderson’s writing on high school athletics has earned him several awards. The 36th annual Hall of Fame enshrinement dinner is 3:30 pm, Sunday, April 27, 2025, at The Omni Charlottesville Hotel in Charlottesville. Congratulations to you Robert for this well deserved honor.
