A Jacksonville woman will serve an eight-year prison sentence for helping run a pot ring that made millions of dollars selling extensive inventories from Airbnb homes, a federal judge decided Wednesday.
Yaquasia Delcarmen , 28, was the first person sentenced for her role in a ring that prosecutors have also tied to a drive-by shooting last year on Interstate 95 in St. Johns County.
Delcarmen was not part of that shooting but pleaded guilty in June to conspiring to distribute at least 50 kilograms (110 pounds) of marijuana and helping launder money the ring took in after moving their product across the country from suppliers in California .
