Police find kidnapped man in Northwest DC, 12 arrested

WASHINGTON — Twelve people are facing charges after police found a kidnapping victim, Thursday morning, while helping another agency search for a wanted man in Northwest D.C.

Officers were assisting U.S. Marshals in the 4000 block of Kansas Avenue NW, when they found 13 people inside a home around 6:30 a.m., according to the Metropolitan Police Department.

Police then found an injured man with broken zip ties on his arms and legs. The man told officers he was being held against his will. Investigators said the man had been held at the home since Wednesday evening. For hours, he was allegedly assaulted as the suspects unsuccessfully tried to extort money from him…
