Toyota announced a $922 million investment to build an advanced paint facility at its Georgetown, KY, plant. Scheduled to open in 2027, the facility represents a step toward enhancing operational efficiencies and supporting the company’s electrification and sustainability goals.
The 1 million-square-foot facility will reduce environmental impacts, cutting carbon emissions by 30% and saving 1.5 million gallons of water annually. It also promises to enhance vehicle quality by incorporating state-of-the-art paint technologies that improve production accuracy, reduce lead times, and offer a wider range of color options for Toyota vehicles.
