Santa Cruz firefighters on the scene a rollover wreck down an embankment along Highway 9 Tuesday afternoon between Vernon Street and Paradise Park. Santa Cruz police said the driver who crashed told them that he swerved to avoid an oncoming vehicle and lost control of his Nissan SUV. No major injuries were reported in the single-vehicle mishap.
