Larry B. Taylor, a 59-year-old from Jacksonville, Florida, has been sentenced to 180 months (15 years) in federal prison for his involvement in the Operation Ghost Busted drug case. Taylor pleaded guilty to conspiracy to possess and distribute fentanyl. The U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Georgia, Jill E. Steinberg, announced the sentence, which also includes three years of supervised release. Taylor had been arrested over 50 times and convicted of 10 felonies. He also violated probation multiple times. He was involved in distributing over three kilograms of fentanyl, which could have caused many deaths in Brunswick, Georgia. After his arrest in January 2023, overdoses in the area dropped.
