A Leesburg teen was arrested on a warrant Monday for his alleged involvement in the theft of an SUV found parked near Kangaroo Express.
Chardon Dudley Petion, 18, was charged with grand theft when law enforcement discovered him and two other individuals leaving the gas station after getting out of the stolen vehicle earlier this year.
Early in the morning of April 24, an officer with the Leesburg Police Department responded to a residential address in Lake County regarding a stolen vehicle, according to an affidavit of probable cause out of Lake County.
Upon arrival, the officer spoke with the victim and owner of the stolen vehicle. He stated his silver 2014 Ford Edge Sport was stolen from his parking spot in front of his quadplex building. He last saw his vehicle at about 7:30 p.m. the night before, the affidavit said…
