CAROLINA FOREST, S.C. (WBTW) — A 25-year-old Myrtle Beach man is facing multiple drug charges after he was arrested on Wednesday after authorities responded to a reported shots-fired call in a Carolina Forest neighborhood .
Amar Lanas Rashwan Anderson was arrested on an outstanding warrant and had crack cocaine and Percocet pills in his possession when he was being booked into the J. Reuben Long Detention Center, according to an Horry County police spokesman. The drugs were found during a strip search, a police report said.
Horry County police initially responded Wednesday afternoon after neighbors thought they heard gunshots in the Hollybrooke Drive area of the Avalon neighborhood in Carolina Forest, the spokesman said. “Wanted individuals” were taken into custody, but there were no shooting victims, and the spokesman said officers have not determined whether shots were fired…
