400 natural acres preserved on Amelia Island

Nearly 400 acres of land on Amelia Island is going to stay in its natural state forever.

The North Florida Land Trust scored a big win for conservation , due to a large property donation from the Thornton family of Amelia Island.

The family‘s acreage runs about 2 miles between Fort Clinch State Park and Egan’s Creek. It protects the state park and is also in the Land Trust Salt Marsh and Coastal Resilience Preservation Area…
