Tigers hold off Viera to snap four-game losing streak

If the Holy Trinity Tigers are going to have the season they want, they’re going to need games like the one they had Thursday night.

Junior guard Michael Otero scored a game-high 26 points and hit seven of eight free throws in the fourth quarter as the Tigers defeated the visiting Viera Hawks 53-44 in a non-district boys basketball game.

“It was a good win for us,” Holy Trinity coach Steve Henderson said. “We needed it. It’s been tough. We’ve been in games. We’ve just found ways to lose games rather than win them. It was nice to finally put four quarters together and get a win.”…
