A homeless man in Leesburg was arrested when he was caught playing a guitar for money outside Walmart with meth in his backpack.
An officer responded to Walmart, located at 2501 Citrus Blvd., regarding a suspicious person on the property around 8:40 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department.
Upon arrival, the officer observed 50-year-old Sean Allen Smith playing a guitar near the entrance and soliciting money from patrons. Contact was made with him, and he was identified using his Florida ID, the report said.
A check of local records revealed Smith had been previously trespassed from the store on July 22. Based on this information, he was placed under arrest. He was secured in handcuffs and placed in the back of the officer’s patrol vehicle, the report said…
