On Saturday at 3:30 a.m. a winter storm watch was issued by the National Weather Service valid from Sunday 7 a.m. until Monday 7 a.m. for Cambria and Somerset counties.
The weather service says to expect, “Freezing rain, mixed with sleet and snow Sunday morning. Ice accumulations of a quarter inch or more possible. Total snow and sleet accumulation less than one inch.”
“Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning commute,” comments the weather service. “Monitor the latest forecasts for updates on this situation.”
