A Daytona Beach man with an extensive criminal record was arrested Saturday after a victim reported he forced her into the back seat of a car at gunpoint and raped her, according to the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office.
Law enforcement responded to the Motel 6 on West International Speedway Boulevard around 4:30 a.m. and a quick investigation led to Baker’s arrest 30 minutes later, deputies said.
Baker, 42, was arrested and charged with armed robbery, theft, and possession of cocaine. Additional charges are pending the results of DNA testing, the sheriff’s office said. Baker was in the Volusia County Branch Jail on Monday without bail…
