Students injured by glass after gunshots fired into NC school bus and nearby car

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WJZY) — At least one middle school student was injured after their school bus was struck by gunfire in east Charlotte Monday afternoon.

According to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police, the incident occurred around 4 p.m. near East W.T. Harris Blvd and Idlewild Road North. When officers arrived, they discovered an Infiniti vehicle and Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools bus had each been shot into.

There were 30 students from Albemarle Road Middle School on board when the shooting occurred. The injured student(s) were treated on scene with glass cuts…
