The Milwaukee Bucks will face the Oklahoma City Thunder in the second NBA In-Season Tournament championship game on Tuesday night. Heading to the NBA Cup title game, Milwaukee has won three in a row and is an impressive 10-2 in their last 12 games. With their recent success, the Bucks have climbed to 14-11 on the season, and as former NBA player Patrick Beverley has observed, the critics who wrote off Milwaukee after their 2-8 start are now suddenly very quiet.
“I haven’t heard any Doc Rivers slander at all lately…” said Beverley. “I hear zero talk about the Milwaukee Bucks and how they’re not good while they’ve been missing Khris Middleton for damn near the whole season.”

Doc took heavy criticism for the Bucks’ slow start
Rivers took most of the blame for Milwaukee’s poor start, just as he did when their first season with Damian Lillard ended in a first-round playoff exit. Doc even received more heat when he added former Lakers head coach Darvin Ham to his staff. But now that the Bucks are winning, Rivers is hardly in the headlines these days…
