South Texas police captain graduates from FBI National Academy

WESLACO, Texas — Captain Dolores Salinas of the Weslaco Police Department has returned after graduating from the prestigious FBI National Academy, Session 292, in Quantico, Virginia. The two-month program is considered one of the most elite law enforcement training academies in the world, with less than 1% of officers nationwide accepted.

While at the academy, Captain Salinas studied executive leadership topics under nationally recognized instructors and learned about the FBI’s advanced capabilities in supporting local law enforcement with complex investigations. Weslaco Police Department collaborates regularly with the FBI on intensive cases.
