Ohio State Highway Patrol sees success in 2024 with increased patrols, hires

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ohio — The Ohio State Highway Patrol reported a successful year in 2024, marked by the hiring of more officers and increased patrols across various areas.

“We had an increase overall in traffic stops, enforcement and non-enforcement traffic stops, and that probably goes back to hiring more officers we’ve got stationed at those posts,” Lt. Robert Bodo of the OSHP said.
