Killeen Turnbo Ranch residents have limited emergency services available

KILLEEN, Texas — The City of Killeen is reminding residents and potential homeowners in the Turnbo Ranch subdivision, located outside the city’s official limits, that emergency services such as fire, ambulance and police are not provided by the city.

Though addresses in Turnbo Ranch are listed as “Killeen,” the community is part of an unincorporated area within the Bell County Municipal Utility District No. 2. Because of this, residents do not pay City of Killeen property taxes and do not receive city-provided emergency services.

The subdivision, located along the 3600 block of Chaparral Road, borders the southeast part of Killeen. While the city provides water and wastewater services to the area, essential services like fire, medical, and police response are managed by separate entities.
