FALCONER — The Falconer boys basketball team has found itself on the wrong side of a couple close games this season and it looked like that was coming again on Thursday evening.
However, Donovan Delaney hit a clutch 3-pointer that sent the Golden Falcons to overtime and they dominated the Huskies from there for a 56-46 Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 1 victory.
“The biggest thing we’ve been talking about and emphasized tonight was finishing games,” Falconer head coach Jordan Goold stated. “Really focused on the league, the Fredonia and Dunkirk games we just have to finish the games. We’re two possessions away from 5-1 and we found ourselves in the position tonight and that was the message. Saying finish, finish, finish and overtime they dominated.”…
