California under a dense fog advisory until Friday midday, says the NWS

A dense fog advisory was issued by the NWS Hanford CA on Thursday at 7:52 p.m. valid from 10 p.m. until Friday 11 a.m. The advisory is for Los Banos – Dos Palos, Merced – Madera – Mendota, Planada – Le Grand – Snelling, West Side of Fresno and Kings counties, Fresno area, Fresno-Clovis, Delano-Wasco-Shafter, Hanford – Corcoran – Lemoore, Visalia – Porterville – Reedley, Bakersfield and Southeast San Joaquin Valley as well as Kern County.

Visibility one quarter mile or less in dense fog with visibility as low as 200 feet for San Joaquin Valley from Merced County to Kern County 10 p.m. tonight until 11 a.m. Friday. The NWS describes, “Highways impacted include, but are not limited to, 99, 140, 152, 59, 41, 43, 46, 58, 145, 180 and 198.”

“Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous,” describes the NWS. “If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.”…
