Florida secures record breaking $1 billion in public assistance from FEMA

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (CBS12) — Florida secured $1 billion in public assistance from FEMA to aid the recovery following Hurricane Milton.

According to FEMA, the milestone was reached just over two months following the hurricane’s disaster declaration on October 11, which has never been done before in Florida.
