IRMO, S.C. — A man was arrested at an Irmo elementary school on Friday morning.
Deputies say around 9:15 a.m., the school resource officer (SRO) assigned to H.E. Corley Elementary School noticed a suspicious vehicle near a play area on the school campus. The SRO approached the vehicle and asked the driver and other occupants to leave.
Deputies say the SRO then became suspicious as she smelled the odor of marijuana in the vehicle and requested back-up units to assist and then requested the occupants to exit the vehicle. At that time, two exited the vehicle and ran. The other two were taken into custody…
