It’s one of the most popular television shows in the world. In fact, it’s the most streamed program on the entire Disney Plus platform, and it’s about to go to Hollywood.
Lots of cartoon characters have ties to Idaho. Especially cartoons with ties to Walt Disney. Walt’s wife, Lillian, was born and raised in Spalding, and they were married in Lewiston. Idaho and the Disney family spent lots of time there. One of his right-hand guys, Card Walker, who would become the president and CEO of the Walt Disney Company, was born in Rexburg.
Disney’s love of Idaho is also seen on the screen. In a 2013 episode of “Mickey Mouse,” Mickey, Donald, and Goofy visit a potato-themed amusement park in Idaho. The three even pass the “Welcome To Idaho” sign along the way…
