‘Holiday in the Park’ is back at Six Flags

Holiday in the Park at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom is back and has something for everyone, including a trip through Gingerbread Lane, sipping on hot cocoa or striking a pose in front of the 65-foot Christmas tree.

For a few weeks a year, the venue in Vallejo turns into a whimsical wonderland. Attendees can partake in the Frosty Foam Party, decorate cookies at Christmas Tree Plaza, or roast marshmallows — which doubles as a hand defroster at the s’mores pits.

Yes, the temperatures this year are chilly, but the cold air only enhances the “winter” aspect of this short-term wonderland. For Marketing Coordinator Monica Consolacion, the park’s seasonal treats are her favorite this time of year.

“This year we have soup in bread bowls, holiday cookies, a lot of sweets and of course the hot chocolate,” she said. Among these limited-time goodies are caramel-stuffed churros, pork pozole and fluffy beignets — all of which can be found in Gingerbread Land…
