The 2024 KU Gift Guide

Before we get to the products, I will acknowledge this idea was shamelessly stolen from CobraCy’s formerly annual Royals Holiday Shopping Guide posted at Royals Review.

Appealing Gift Ideas

I actually have something similar to this hanging in my office. Nice panoramic piece of decor that isn’t guady. Perfect for a wide age range.

This one isn’t quite as universal as the Evolution decoration but it would fit perfect in any sports themed room, basement, or dorm room.

Sticking with the decoration theme, this 3-D art rendering looking down at Allen Fieldhouse is pretty darn cool. Nice minimalistic and classy design that would make it perfect for an office or basement family room. This isn’t something you’d hang in your garage.

This is a good looking t-shirt to me. It can go with any color and provides a nice alternative to your bright blue or red KU shirts. Only way to improve this would be to use the 1941 Angry Jayhawk logo. Also, only $20 at the KU Store online.

Women’s Full Zip Vest

I don’t know if it’s because I’m getting old or what but I’ve come around to the vest. It’s practical from early fall to late spring, matches almost any type of outfit from casual to light dressy. Makes layering incredibly easy and it’s comfortable, just an all around great piece of clothing.

Gifts for the Right Person

The title speaks for itself. If you are buying for someone that was in Lawrence in 2022 or 2008, this will be the perfect conversation starter for them to tell their story of flooding Mass Street in celebration of the winning the National Title. A bit pricey but if you’re buying for that special person, it might be worth it.

I’m not a puzzle person but if I was I think this would be a great gift. My mother-in-law is a huge puzzle person. I bet she completes a puzzle this size once every couple of weeks. She spends hours sitting at her dining room table putting together puzzles and it makes wish I was more of a puzzle person because I get bored in about 5 minutes.

Have your parents started playing pickeball yet? If so, this is USA Pickleball Association approved paddle might be what they’re looking for this holiday season. Carbon fiber exterior with a soft leather paddle will help them control the racket and be easy on the fingers for those with arthritis.

Christmas Themed KU Pajamas

I’m also not a pajama person because I’m an adult. However, if this is a family tradition or you’re buying for your kids you could do a lot worse than these holiday themed KU pajamas. Only $32 on sale right now. It’s tough to find a better deal than that.

Niche…or things I wouldn’t buy section

KU Themed Golf Balls and Tees

Look, this is $20 for 50 tees and 3 unbranded (Jayhawk logo’d!) golf balls. If you try to play with these, they’re going to feel like a rock when you hit them and they’re not stopping on a green. You’re also going to lose them. I can get 500 tees for $8, what am I supposed to do with 50 that say Jayhawks on them? If you want to decorate with Jayhawk stuff, scroll back up. People who are really into golf don’t need more stuff to remind everyone else that they’re really into golf…
