SANDUSKY — A Sandusky man received multiple charges in regards to allegedly driving his car up onto a sidewalk and crashing into a bridge structure.
The man, 70, faces three non-felony offenses — operating a vehicle under the influence, reckless operation and driving upon sidewalk — for an incident taking place just after 8 p.m. Saturday at the Columbus Avenue underpass in Sandusky. It’s the same structure, frequently called a subway among locals, where a train derailment occurred in October 2022.
