TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – Temperatures will continue to warm across NE Kansas on Sunday, with highs returning to the 50s. Unlike last week, however, temperatures will stay in this range for quite some time.
Sunday morning started off chilly across NE Kansas, with lows in the middle to upper 20s, but increasing southerly winds will vault our temperatures into the middle 50s by later this afternoon. Winds will be stronger, gusting up to 30 miles per hour at times, creating a little bit of a chill for the morning hours. By the afternoon, however, temperatures will be warm enough to counteract any sort of wind chill.
Sunny and dry conditions are expected, but clouds will increase in coverage during the overnight hours. This will keep low temperatures much warmer, around 40 degrees, a nice break from the frigid mornings NE Kansas has seen as of late…
