This year the Commonwealth of Kentucky named Max Wise, R-Campbellsville, who is in his 10th year as a State Senator to be the leader of the Senate and he also served the 16th District in the Commonwealth.
He will replace retiring State Senator Damon Thayer, R-Georgetown. The role as the Senate leader includes being the principle speaker during debates on the Senate floor and working to promote the party’s legislative agenda. Wise has a lot of experience in government with positions such as Chair of the Senate Education Committee and the Senate Economic Development, Tourism, and Labor Committee.
