Driver dies in Maryland crash after veering off road, hitting two trees, officials say

FREDERICK, Md. (7News) — A driver lost his life after he collided with two trees Saturday morning in Frederick, Maryland, according to the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office.

On Dec. 21, officials said they responded to a report of a single-vehicle collision in the area of Sundays Lane and Bartgis Road in Frederick, Maryland.

Officials said their preliminary investigation found that 52-year-old Kyint Cope veered off the left side of the road and hit two trees. Findings determined that excessive speed and alcohol may have led to the crash, officials said…
