Farmers in Georgia can now drill irrigation wells for their crops

ATLANTA, Georgia: A year after winning a lawsuit against the state of Florida on the overuse of water from the Flint River, Georgia has allowed its farmers to drill irrigation wells to water their crops.

Jason Cox, who grows peanuts and cotton in southwest Georgia, says farming would be economically impossible without water to irrigate his crops.
