AAA projects over 119 million people to travel 50 miles or more from home over the year-end holiday period, which runs from Saturday, December 21 through January 1st. AAA Missouri spokesman Nick Chabarria said domestic travel projections show more travelers this year compared to the previous record set in 2019.
“At risk of sounding like a broken record here, I know we’ve been talking about holiday travel and breaking records really for the past couple of years now, but we are expecting another record to be set in terms of number of travelers during those dates,” he said.
