Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy claims over 3,000 North Korean soldiers have been killed or injured fighting for Russia in the Kursk region. This information comes from a briefing by General Oleksandr Syrskyi.

According to Ukrainian Special Operations Forces, 117 North Korean soldiers were killed or injured in recent operations. The SSO alleges that Russia is using fake military IDs to conceal the presence of North Korean troops.

U.S., South Korean, and Ukrainian officials estimate that around 12,000 North Korean soldiers are currently deployed in Russia, primarily to assist in the push against Ukrainian forces in Kursk.
