When Goose detects the presence of drugs, he is trained to signal his discovery by sitting on the spot, alerting his handler, Deputy Thorson, to the exact location of the find. In the social media reveal, which also included a video of Goose during a training session, the sheriff’s office shares, “When he sniffs out drugs, he sits on that spot until his handler, Deputy Thorson, goes over to Goose to retrieve the find.” His reward for a job well done?
